Samsung Galaxy Tab II is officially here, with a 10 inch display!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Galaxy Tab II is now here, and this time it’s for real! The official name will be Galaxy Tab 10.1, which comes from the fact that this tablet will have a 10.1 inch display which – just between you and me- it’s TFT and has a 1280 x.800 resolution.

You might be surprised when you will hold it for the first time I your hand, as Galaxy 10.1 is incredibly light! It weights only 599 grams, an extremely low figure and when it comes to multimedia, the manufacturer informed us that it will be able to play 1080 px video with no problem whatsoever!

The technical details- for the ones that haven’t followed the news wires in the least couple of weeks- are as follows: the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will come with Android 3.0, and a dual core Tegra 2 processor.

Also, it does feature 1 GB of RAM and cameras on both sides (which is already a standard) that is besides the standard connectivity and portability devices.

We already know that Vodafone will be the official partner of Samsung for both Asia and Europe, but the retailer for North America is not known yet. Any bets?

Pricing details-an extremely sensitive issue-have not been revealed, but Samsung officials promised that Galaxy Tab 10.1 will have a “competitive” price, meaning that it will probably be a bit cheaper than its competitors.

By the way, I don’t know if you have notice that, but doesn’t it seem strange to you that all of the tablets that come with Honeycomb have almost the same specs? This way soon enough the only way to differentiate them will be by their design rather than by what they can do. I guess that communist has reached the IT industry as well, huh?
